When I was a kid dad always had old cars in his garage whether it was a project for himself or something he was working on for someone else on his day off. Being around old cars all the time at home, watching dad work on cars and going to car shows got me interested in mechanics at a young age. Then dad quit his regular job to work on classic cars from home when I was almost 12 years old. The amount of exposure I had to these cars and seeing several of the cars dad worked on go from junk yard quality to functional, reliable and even award winning show car status led me to pursue an education and career in auto mechanics.

I sold my dirt bike and purchased my first car when i was 14 years old. From age 14 to age 16 my dad and I transformed the 600 dollar Mustang from a field ornament into my daily driver. Then at the beginning of my senior year of high school I bought my second project vehicle, a 1986 C-10. Throughout my senior year of high school and during the summer before college dad and I turned the once farm truck into a hot rod that was my daily driver until I got tired of spending so much time at gas stations. After high school I attended Wilkes Community College and received an Associates Degree in Automotive Systems Technology. While in college I bought a 1995 Nissan 200sx that was on its way to the crusher and hauled it to the garage at Wilkes Community College. I was allowed to work on the Nissan while in shop class so by the end of the semester I had a finished car and an A+ in shop class. After college I got a job as a mechanic at a normal shop working on newer cars. I stayed with that company for a little over 4 years and received several ASE certifications.
After a change in ownership I quickly became burnt out with the new company to the point that I decided I was done doing automotive work for a corporation. After leaving the automotive industry I pursued a new career as a mechanic for industrial machinery. I took this job with the goal to do automotive work on the side until I had enough business to work on vehicles new or old from home full time. Then in July 2019 the perfect opportunity presented itself for me to quit my full time job and take a chance on full time self employment. At first I was mostly working on newer vehicles but that quickly shifted and I began primarily working on classic cars which was a life long dream come true.
I am very passionate about auto mechanics and I find working on vehicles very rewarding. My goal is to continue independently working on vehicles from home and to never go back to a "normal job." I am very passionate about auto mechanics and I find working on vehicles very rewarding. My goal is to continue independently working on vehicles from home and to never go back to a "normal job." I have solely relied on word of mouth advertising and so far I have consistently stayed booked and the rate at which the waiting list grows is steadily increasing. That being said I want to give a special thank you to all of my customers for all of the support, trust, and positivity that I have received since day one. Graveside Garage is my dream come true and it would not be possible without all of you.
